Kek
Been working on this convertion for some time now (6 months to be exact) and i've finally finished it thought i'd share it with you ^_^ http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk264/shagster18/DSCF0786.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk264/shagster18/DSCF0787.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk264/shagster18/DSCF0789.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/ Share on other sites
Brother Cambrius
Nice work Kek. A few bits to comment/critique on. (please don't kill me when I see you in the future. :D) I don't like the chaos writing on the sign. It seems a little too ... ordered in my opinion for Chaos. Perhaps the 8 pointed star or the writing in rune like writing (similar to my banners ;)). A nice deep blue wash would also work wonders if you can get your hands on some. It would improve the flesh and right arm tenfold. The horns seem a litte too plain for me. The one tone red just doesn' seem to work. Perhaps you could water down and darken some red and paint the bottom quarter of the horns and work up with a lighter tone until you get to the top. You could possibly do the same for your shoulder pads (no scythes on this one? ;)) The base rim colour seems to clash a lot with the scene above it. Perhaps a nice grey like my bases? It would blend in much better imho. OK I'm done for critique. Now for the compliments: Excellent raid on the bitz box I like the right arm (Soulgrinder by any chance?) and I like the colours on the robe spiralling downwards. The base looks very nicely done (apart from my little nit pick above). A little watered down Chaos Black and you'll be completely sorted on that. I look forward to seeing it in the future on the battlefields against my Sons of Doom. ;) I'll be sure to send it to oblivion with my captain. :) Cambrius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/#findComment-1820169 Share on other sites
Kek
Your right about the horns looking at them in the pictures they seem plain. The right arm is actually from the possesed sprue  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/#findComment-1820172 Share on other sites
Brother Cambrius
Your right about the horns looking at them in the pictures they seem plain. The right arm is actually from the possesed sprue :D Really? I think I'm mixing it up with the vomit business (those soulgrinders really must see their doctor about that. You'll have plenty of time to make the adjustments in the future as I won't be around in gaming until February so make the most of it (although I'll have nothing new painted at all...) Cambrius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/#findComment-1820176 Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
very chaosy and tzeentchy i really like it. i just don't like the necron c'tan bodies. Captain Malachi
I really like it, but Brother Cambrius is right, a dark blue wash would do wonders, right now it looks far too bright and kinda ruins the whole effect of the model. Edit- Nice use of the chaos sorcerers familiar (and head) though  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/#findComment-1820769 Share on other sites
vishtank
good idea, but the human body of the c'tan model just doesn't say: "hey guys! i've spennt centuries worshipping the lord of change, to finally become a daemon prince!!" Lord Arkhand
i like it, its an interesting take on the idea of a daemon prince. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155790-tzeentch-daemon-prince/#findComment-1823783 Share on other sites
Master Kashnizel
As said before, wash the skin a dark blue. Also if you paint some runes all across the body it would look a lot Tzeentchier. I like the conversion work especially on the arms and the Imperial Guardsman.
