Deepstriking an LSS

Is it an Assault Vehicle?

If not, then no. Deep Striking counts as moving at Cruising speed. A vehicle which has already moved may allow its passengers to disembark, but they cannot move further, or assault that turn. (pg. 67, BRB)

The LSS is indeed an assault vehicle, it has cerebus launchers which confer a -2Ld on the enemy that the unit engages in combat.

Does this then mean they can assault??

I do not see Assault Vehicle listed anywhere in its profile. Where do you see this?

See the Land Raider entry for an example. Assault Vehicle is a special rule.

**EDIT** Nevermind, I see that Open-Topped has its own ruling regarding this. I'll have to check into this further.

2nd EDIT:

In that turn’s Assault phase, however, these units may

not launch an assault (even if they have the ‘fleet’

special rule), unless clearly stated in their special rules –

they are too disrupted by their deep strike move.

Given that the LSS entry does not specifically say they can assault after Deep Striking...I'd have to go with no. This entry is in effect, no different than an Open-Topped Drop Pod.
