Lord Arkhand
This is my chaos lord for my black legion and my first concerted attempt at non metallic gold painting, i think it went OK, it could just do with being a little smoother. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/arkhand001.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/arkhand002.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/arkhand003.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/arkhand004.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/arkhand005.jpg i mage him when i still had the 3rd ed codex so he was a sorceror lord but such a thing is no longer possible, and sorcerors always have force weapons now so he is now a lord. Captain Malachi
Only critique I have is that the NNM parts and some of the normal yellow parts look the same, but then again I know I couldn't do any better, and the rest of the model is very good, I especially like the freehand on the cloak, so overall 'tis a good job. ShinyRhino
Very nice. One tip for the NMM in the future: go white. The biggest thing about NMM is that you really have to hit the highest highs and the lowest lows when doing it, to avoid it looking flat. Bring all of your highlights up to white, with all of the shades in between. It's a very scary proposition, but in the end it works out, or so I'm told. I never really mastered it on my Reaper fantasy stuff before I stopped playing D&D, and had no use for piles of pewter fantasy people.
