Soul Reapers Hall of Heresy

I've decided that I'd make one central thread here for all of my Soul Reapers Chaos marines.

Here is the first half of Squad Sokar is finished. If you click on the squad pic you'll get a larger pic.

Have you considered giving a fine highlight of chainmail to the extreme edges of your armour? It might pop it out a lot more and add that extra bit of depth to make these guys awesome <_<

I do mix a little chainmail with the bronze for the final highlights on my Heroes and large minis. I would never use strait chainmail as it would just be too extreme for my liking.

I thought I would also mention the highlights show up much better in real life, the lights for photos make all of the armor shine. I guess it's the curse of painting metalics.

Really like the marines. Is the 'bolter raised' firing pose (same for plasma gun) naturally acheivable with chaos arms? Or is that conversion work... a brief note on how you did it (if they were converted) would be brilliant if possible, as i'm making a force atm using chaos and loyalist sprues.

The shooting pose was converted. The wrists we cut off of the Chaos arms with the spikes on the hands; they were repositioned then pinned and GS'd.

Here is my Sorcerer of Tzeentch I'm not completely happy with him, but he is definitely table ready and done for now.

Great work. I love the line troopers, you know what really jumps out at me for some reason are the bolters...they are just so well done with nice clean and tidy details. :)

As for the Sorceror...well thats just plain superb my friend. :)

Wow, it's been a long time since I added anything here. I'll need to snap some new pics and an army so far shot for this thread.

Here my latest work it is a special character Sorcerer for my homebrew codex that I am working on.

I present Xusia the Master of Malevolence in all his painted glory. This was my first attempt at lightning on a Force weapon, I think it turned out Ok.
