LTP
Hi everyone. I though id take a break from my DIY chapter and paint a leader for my new nicely painted crimson fists marines that i just bought off a friend. So here he is. He took me about 5 hours in the end. I wanted to take my time and do him properly and with all that bling its no wonder it took me so long lol. http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3217.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3219.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3222.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3223.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3221.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3225.jpg http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo132/chloer90/IMG_3218.jpg C&C welcome! Liltom
Definately worth the time spent on him. And personally, I think the bling makes the model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/156082-pedro-kantor/#findComment-1824045 Share on other sites

I think i said the bling thing the wrong way. What i ment was that the model looks gret with the bling and i totally agree with you its just a pain in the ass to paint lol :) Looks tough to convert with all those fists everywhere. Yeah thats why i never bothered lol I was going to sell him but after i purchased some more crimson fists marines i decided against it. cheers for the comments so far. Apocalyp$e
I think it's a horrendous model with all that junk all over him. He looks like a space pack-rat... Comeon... like EIGHT laurels!?! What the hell is your problem Kantor? We get it! You're decorated and uber-cool. Jeezus you glory-hogging braggart... Did you peel all those laurels off the corpses of your battle brothers? I guess hiding in the deepest darkest safest hole you can find, while your chapter and homeplanet get eradicated makes you a little low on the self-esteem. This guy wears his full military uniform complete with all his medals to his highschool reunion. You did a wonderfull job painting him by the way... I haven't had the heart to crack mine open, just because his self-importance makes me want to vomit. Apocalyp$e
Heheh... sorry 'bout the rant there... But seriously on the actual topic of your painting, you really did do a fabulous job on him. I can very much appreciate the amount of work you must've done on all of that... truth be told I haven't painted mine, not because of any "vomit-inducing" factor, but rather because all the detail it requires is kinda intimidating me from starting... "He who starts something and HAS to finish it, shall be my battle-brother eternal." I think that's in the third chapter of the codex astartes... MayorDaley
Wonderful job on Kantor. I just got done cleaning mine up, I can't believe how much flashing there was on that model!?! If you would share with the rest of us; I would like to know the colors used on Kantor. Again just a wonderful job painting Kantor. Maybe post pics of your other Crimson Fists, hopefully some Sternguard Vets. LTP
Hi all If you would share with the rest of us; I would like to know the colors used on Kantor I used all GW paints and my primer is from halfords lol. Black primer For the blue i used, Mordian blue, Asurman Blue wash. Then i used a mix of regal blue, ice blue and kommando khaki to blend the blue adding the latter colours as i got towards the lighter parts if that makes any sense. For the red i used the same method but with mechrite red foundation, Baal Red wash. Then i used red gore, blood red and Kommando khaki. The gold is black, snakebite leather, golden yellow and white built up in layers until its bright enough. The metal is Adeptus battlegrey and black, then drybrushed adeptus battlegrey, then adeptus battlegrey and white highlights up to white. If youd like to know anything else just let me know  Maybe post pics of your other Crimson Fists, hopefully some Sternguard Vets. I bought the other crimson fists minis off a friend and i got 3 scouts bikes, 1 pedro, 1 web ex sgt, 1 scout squad, 1 razorback, 2 tactical squads and 1 devastator squad for a very good price, however, only the last 2 things were painted crimson fists and i only bought the models really so i could use them for my DIY chapter so this is just a one off im afraid lol.
