My take on the Ironclad

Recommended Posts

Hey all. My local GW had a conversion comp just before new year, which inspired me to get this baby sorted out. I didn't win (a very cool Pump Wagon took the prize) in this category (my gobbo spider riders did in another category though) but ended up with a rather nice dready.

Incidently, Lysander is going to want his storm Shield back (unless I can convince my gaming group to let my dread have a 3++ B) ) so I will probably go the terminator torso/head route for his front.

I have kitted it with assault launchers, twin heavy flamers and the hammer whatsit.

Let me know what you think.

Very good conversion, Rat of Vengeance. The winner must have been pretty damn good to beat that awesome Ironclad.

The smoke launchers look a bit odd, and to be honest, I think it'd be cooler without them, for modelling purposes.

Nice try with the 3++... actually, you could say it was 'Extra Armour', if you wanted to keep it there B)

Thanks mate. Yeah, the pump wagon was very nicely done, totally scratch-built and ramshackle.

I have has mixed thoughts on the smoke launcher, I am thinking of relocating it on the right shoulder similar to the searchlight. I need to have something to simulate the assault launchers to fit with wysiwyg.
