BT Elite Assault Squad

Hey guys, hope everyone's doing well. I've been away from the hobby for over 2 years since starting university, but I plan on completing my Black templars assault squad sometime soon (I'll make it a new years resolution!). They are painted in a blue flame theme, and are supposed to be extremely badass :( . Here are pictures of the completed models, and the three that I will be working on.

Unfinished templars

I plan on adding an intricate design along the bottom of the chaplain's cloak, but I need to regain my skills before I attempt that! All the best, have a great new year!

Hey guys thanks for the comments. The sword is from an old weapon sprue I bought through GW mail order, when you could order individual parts. It came with a hammer, the one Valten of the Empire army uses. The hand attached to the sword is armoured and looks perfect on a space marine. Also at the very hilt of the sword is actually a maltese cross, so it fits even better for a BT! Hope that helps.

The chainsword is modified from two normal chainswords. And I curved it slightly to look like a katana sorta hehe.

And also SFD you misunderstood! Those three were painted before I had quit. The unpainted three will be my test, though I'm currently just doing some normal templars to get the feel back.

I love the concept of special 'more-elite-than-elite' units for marine armies. And these particular iterations of that theme are incredible. You rock, and roll, at the same time.

edit: Is it just me, or do 'beakies' look best as assault marines with jump packs?
