There are CMON links to both collages - made in a hurry for a contest and another one made after. Signature was added later.

what about the sweet red glowing eyes effect?

Try this article

it is realy helpful, thou my technique differs a bit this article is all you need to do nice eyes.

About the pose: the base is not plain and SM`s shoulderpads make a mission of creating a "grenade throw" pose impossible. Almost. The pose is not standard, but I`ve tried several attempts myself (posing for my wife who was holding a camera :) ) and I say: this pose is sutable for throwing a grenade. If you are the SM with huge shoulderpads and the power of a throw is not a problem, ofcause.

Still I understand everyone, who says :cuss about the pose. It is so different from heroic ones typically assosiated with space marines.

-recovering his jaw from the floor- thats incredible and the 'glowing' eyes (to be precise here) are just master pieces, however the pose at one angle looks like a beginning of a ballet and it looks very, in a sence, lost for momentum of the marine. if you had the feet placed so they were spread out (last time i checked we walk with a feet straight!!! :) ) and maybe if you had made the bolter on a strap so the marine was able to look like he is pulling the pin. however the paint job is great, amazing and anything else i can think of to describe how good it is.
