DextrousWombat Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 Nice work. I like the scheme a lot as it is different to what i have seen before, the lightning bolts look very good. Each Company will have lightning in its' color (Scouts will not have lightning. I'm actually a little shocked, i thought when I read "aqua marines" that you'd follow a similar scheme as Barph: http://www.geocities.com/barpharanges_1/Re...ult_Marine.html http://www.geocities.com/barpharanges_1/Defender_Dread.html He went with an actual aquamarine color scheme and a trident for the chapter symbol. Your scheme is interesting. Its kinda busy for me and requires alot of detail and attention when painting every indivdual model. Good luck with it. On the other hand, now that I have had practice on a Dread, I can redo him again much better. At least in concept. His barnacles fell off though -.- At least the Starfish survived. Lord Bunny: Check out the fluff thread. The lightning's color depends on which Company they are from. These guys can be... fourth or seventh if I recall right. Just a FYI :D Glad you like it. Yes, I did halves on the weapons - originally they were gonig to have lightning too, but I think it looks best with boltgun on one side and blue on the other. It gives the minis a little more variety. And no, they will remain solid blue on the left side. As an ultramarines successor chapter (who idolize the UMs too in their fluff) they wear the plain blue in respect to their fathering chapter. That and having to do twice as much lightning I think would drive me nuts (that, and how would I do the blue lightning on blue for the ninth company? ;)) I am eager to see how the red lightning comes out.
