Took quite a while for this one, especially without using greenstuff.

parts include:

space marine dreadnought

space crusade advanced dreadnought

assorted bits from a gubbinz sprue (wheels etc)

2 metal cyclone missle launchers

various other bits

Its nice but......kind of awkward. Having such a boxy and solid chassis on such spidery legs looks weird, and the guns look like they where just bolted on wherever they would fit. Its a good consept but not very well executed.

Try heavily converting a normal standing Dread before you move on to more......exotic ideas.

Well dont for what it is though, just make sure you see the faults in its design.

critisicim's good considering its one of my first conversions.

in context when stood next to defilers he looks good for scale.

orphanfeast99 got any links to your stuff?

The fluff was that during a campaign in an urban environment the SW needed more firepower and came up with this dread.

I originally had the idea when I first saw the VDR rules so many moons ago.

Hoping to try him out in apocalypse some time soonish

no point in a standard game as he looks out of place.

sry if my critique was a little hard, was having a bad day, i stand by a few of my points, but looking at it with a brighter sun in the sky, its not as flawed as i claimed it was, my apologies brother

mmm perhaps I shouldnt describe it as an ironclad. Instead maybe a design in its own right.

Ideas could be that its used for negotiating deep snow, jungles etc.

Yup I officially scrath the "ironclad" from its description.

anyone know a good name, i was thinking:

1: create a unique character?: Thoralf as the dreadnought

2: "strider" class dreadnought?

etc
