[LPC] Wolf Priest WIP

Greets,

Weapons are on and I've started the pelt. I am not real sure about the flame, it may make the mini "too" busy.

A better pic of the frost axe.

I did use a recycled crozius (my models were destroyed while being shipped to Iraq). As i am starting over I wanted to keep as much as I could. Does this go against the rules of the LPC?

As always any C&C is requested and welcome.

@ Brother Beork - I agree the size is off on the teeth and charms. I am debating ripping it apart and trying again. But, please don't be upset when I post the left leg. I love your work so much, I had to try a bionic :)

Better days,

Greets,

OK, snag # 206 :D

When I tried to put the lower legs on I realized that they were now too small for the mini. I stepped up two sizes in platic rod and attempted to build lower legs. I am hoping that a strap and some teeth on the right side will take up some of the empty space. Any other ideas on how to fix this? I am too far into the mini to throw it out.

Better days,

The space wolf bits have some daggers, belt pouches, etc. that can take up some space. Alternatively (or maybe in addition) the model is somewhat light in the wolf pelt department. You could scuplt a kelt-type pelt that would start at the waist and cover the gap all the way around. Maybe a cape as well, etc.

He's coming along.

I'll add some charms and teeth on the right greave strap. I think a couple of pouches and grenades on the belt will "thicken" the waist enough.

@Grimfoe - I'm really trying to avoid adding too much fur. It starts running away from me really fast.

Better days,

Why not give him a coat hanging down from his backpack. A background like that will probably make the legs look much better

So far, the mini has a very brutal, raw and massive feel to it, but the legs are a tad to thin and bland to fit in with the rest

Wow, fantastic conversion mate :) Only 2 tiny things than came to my mind which I didn't like as much as the rest (which I love :P ):

- The Crozius is a little bit too short IMO and

- I'd redo the wolf head on the right shoulder pad, meaning adjusting it more closely to the shoulderpad. Right now it sticks out too much if you ask me - it's supposed to be a real wolf head after all, right? :)

Greets,

oz

@ Ozris - I see what you mean about the wolf head - I shaved it down and adjusted the fit. I'm not sure what you mean about the crozius, it's aready the length of his leg. He is carrying it at about the middle of the handle.

@ Cathar - I can't do capes :) I'm going to try the hip plates.

Thanks again.

OK, I'm going to let the GS cure and then file off a few mold lines. Barring any major complaints (or pointers), I'm calling this conversion finished.

I decided to not add braids and beard. All my HQ will have them, so this one will be different :jaw:

As always, if you have any ideas to improve the design, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for all the help and Better days,

Greets,

The process of destroying my work (some of you call this painting) has begun. The black is as much trouble as I thought it would be.

Too much grey or not enough?

I still have a lot of work on the belt and charms, the bionic is just getting started. Any thoughts or ideas?

Better days,

Greets,

I've been working on the axe and I have a few questions:

1) is it too cartoony?

2) are the colors too solid?

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/AxeWIP.jpg

I still need to wash and highlight the gold and finish the head.

Better days,

Greets,

You guessed it more questions;

1) how light should I go with the fur?

2) what color should the cables on the upper chest be?

Any input is welcome (even if it is just to say I update too much ;) )

Better days,

I got the dread put together, so i should be able to start painting on him tomorrow!

@ Navigator - all my marines are chopped and made bigger. Although, this one will be the biggest one I have :)

Better days,

200plus, I remember your style now. You used to go by a different name. Good to see you are alive and kicking. Excellent work on the WP. Your skills have improved. I also like that ven dread. You've made the ho hum metal dread a nice SW addition.
