Navigator
Greetings Chaos scumbags!! Welcome to my record of my hopefully growing CSM horde. I've been stressing over a Ork army which seems forever, and I'm getting slightly tired. So from the bottom of my bits boxes cometh a new effort, The Forlorn!! Well, I have an interesting range of pieces avialiable to me, loads of spacemarine heads, bodies, old metal figures, however, no Bolters(opps?) Back packs(opps?) or even arms or shoulder pads(opps x 2)... fun times. No matter, this helps with the idea I'm looking for, since I'm in no rush to finish this project I'm quite happy to take my time and make every model unique, in only the crazy way chaos can be. I've created 1 so far to test my ideas. Since I had no bolters he carries a "bolt rifle", yea retro eh? and has errr Mk0 should guards. Anyway, I'm already starting on 3 more marines and I'm busy converting a looted Ork Predator into a CSM vindicator, FUN!! http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/1.jpg What you think? Brother Nihm
He looks positively archaic, with the banged up armour and lowtech-looking gun you've captured the Chaos Renegade feel nicely. Well done. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/156815-the-forlorn/#findComment-1834426 Share on other sites
Navigator
Hey there, thanks that was the kind of theme I was going for. Well I managed to get a bit of paint on this fella last night, and messed about with the Vindicator a bit more, hope to get some photos up tonight. Navigator
Managed to get some paint on the first Renegade, I normally paint very crisp and clean, so I'm trying something new. Its only in the very early stages so dont bash it too much. Continued starting 2 more Renegade, again along way from being finished, also continued trying to sort out my Vindicator, as you can see its a real mess at the moment!!! http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010002-1.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010003.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010008.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010009.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010010.jpg Sorry for the late post and the picture quality, I'll learn :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/156815-the-forlorn/#findComment-1837317 Share on other sites

Navigator
Thanks Kek, Been working on a few more Renegades, reluctant to call them Marines, looks like I've been playing Fallout3 too much. The Vindicator needs alot of work otherwise its going to look out of place. Pleased with the paint job of the first guy, I'll get better pics up when I have new stuff to show. Cheers. Navigator
Another night, another marine, put the flamer guy on the back burner (HA...HA..) for now as I ran into some problems, however finished modelling another bolter guy. His Bolter rifle needs work, but overall I'm happy with it, crazy mutant marine with a boiler backpack, rock on. http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010012-1.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010011.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010007.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010003-1.jpg Maybe get some paint on these guys soon, tho I may push on and make 5 guy, woohoo, thats a whole squad!!! hehe C&C welcome, thanks for looking Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/156815-the-forlorn/#findComment-1870352 Share on other sites
Navigator
Well I thought I'd share where I'm at with the flamer dude, as you can see he's a little different, flamers for hands, why not, and again some odd nice big boiler on his back. He needs a load of work, I need to model pipes to his flamers, and his power armour, which is where the problems arise. The white bits on plasti card on his chest are the start of his armour, indicating spliting, cracked armour by his big belly hanging down. Any ideas would be good. http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010004-1.jpg http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010003-2.jpg And finally tonight, heres a group shot of the squad so far, I'm liking the randomness. http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh357/Navigatorpics/P1010006.jpg Thanks for looking. Frostbit3
I like where you are going with it. They have a really strange feel to them. I mean that in a complimentary way. They almost look like they are from a universe parallel to 40k. Navigator
Thanks Frostbit3, great, yea thats what I'm going for, totally random renegades. I have been thinking up some fluff for them, a bunch of drifters updating their trappings as they go, there numbers maintained via some chemical Vat using mad docter........ but like the models its very wip. Anyway, been messing on a little bit again, nothing major to waste your time posting. However, I did come up with a plan to sort my vindicator using a Hellcannon, tho I have been slightly knocked back by this, didnt realise GW prices them at £35 ish, ouch. back to the drawing board... or ebay ;) Thanks for looking guys. Spacefrisian
Don't know why but an army of Chaos Marines who come from a Junk place seems not such a bad idea. It would seem as if my Scrap heap Dreadnought (which i'am building for my Lost and the Damned) could fit right in. FuriousFerret
Wow, these guys are extremely like the the Chaos Renegades GW made in the late 1980s - you know, teh original chaos marines.
