Vann Harl
Being very new to this there's something I need to clarify re: GK Orbital Barrage. Exactly when do I nominate the target? number6
After the table is set up and mission and deployment are chosen but before any models are placed on the table, regardless of which player is nominated to first deploy their force. Inquisitor Fox
You also don't have to inform the enemy of the target! What I always do, is carry a tablet of scratch paper. On a piece I make a rough sketch map of the battlefield with names and labels (forest, big ruined building, tower w/ lamp, etc) and put an X where the target is. I then ask a store member or random observer to initial the map to demonstrate that I'm not a dirty cheat, then I place it face down on the table and make it obvious I'm not touching it. When I want the strike to happen I flip the sketch over and show it to my opponent, making it quite clear I'm not altering where I have signaled the orbital strike to come down. It may seem a bit excessive, but it's nice and easily done, takes little effort, and makes it obvious to everyone there that you aren't cheating ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/156992-orbital-barrage-q/#findComment-1836403 Share on other sites
Vann Harl
Thank you Inquisitor Nicol That's exactly the answer I was looking for. As this differs considerably from the SM Orbital Barrage right? Mal
That is correct, we have very little control over our barrage, the SM one is treated like a really big gun.
