I imagine most people will get the references to that. ;)

These are my latest creations. My army's coming along well. 50 miniatures painted and 4 vehicles (two rhinos, a razorback and a predator) painted in about 40 days.

I've been trying to incorporate your advice from past posts with my other units and vehicles. I'm rather pleased with these chaps.

In any case, without further delay, here's the pics:

If you're going with the MASH concept, you need to take that bolt pistol off of the Apothecary. Hawkeye steadfastly refused to carry a gun.

And replace it with a martini glass :tu:

I suppose if you ever make Radar, he'll be a librarian, albeit a very short librarian......

lol Yeah, "Pierce" really shouldn't be holding a weapon, but hey opinions can change 41,000 years later right? lol

I was actually sort of hamstrung there. Both models are pewter and I'm not exactly confident in my cutting/converting abilities with metal yet.

But thanks a lot for the comments. I had a heck of a time trying to get "Mulcahy's" black armour to stand out. Dry brushing with boltgun metal saved me there...

Since I never liked MASH I can't comment on the joke. So I will comment on the painting and converting.

You should trim down the head of the chaplain a bit to fit it more neatly. This way he has a rather long neck.

And you really need to water down your paints a bit and apply more than one coat of thick paint. Just a couple of watered down coats of your main color, highlights with your main color + a little white and a wash of black or brown or whatever seems fit for your main color, very fast and looks good enough for most people.

The paint on the apothecary is really very thick and obscures most of the details.

Finally, here's an article on painting black armor which I find very useful
