Patchoro
Read some stuff on the B&C forum about the use of magnets to give your mini's multiple weapon options, and decided I just HAD to have that for my sergeants. Still WIP, but it works beautifully, and I just wanted to share that. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/157408-magnet-fun/ Share on other sites
elijahdprophet
A bunch of my units are the same way. My Sgts (to replace the Black Reach ones) are next on my list to make. Magnets are also good for jump packs if you want the option of assault marines getting the free Rhino from time to time. My Captain is magnetized at the left shoulder and right wrist so he can have all the weapons options from the box. Evil
That is great! Nice work. However, I can't justify buying magnets when I can use that money for more models. It is just my "current" opinion. I only use magnets for tanks. Your magnet conversions look great though! I am re-thinking about using magnets on character models now. Great work! Thanks. MuGGzy
ya I have never used them before but recently ended up with some plastic CSM termies off ebay that had all their shoulders magnetized. I am now a true believer, they are so cool. No more need for 2 termies so that I have one with a Reaper and one with a Flamer, just a quick arm swap. lt.rasczak
What size magnets did you use? I have some 1/8 by 1/16 that i use for my tanks but i think those might be too big for arms and backpacks. jay79
1/8 x 1/16 is perfect for the arm/shoulder. See my tutorial here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=157058 And here you can see that the required magnets are extremely cheap. 25 for $2.50: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=D21 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/157408-magnet-fun/#findComment-1841643 Share on other sites

That way I could outfit my chaplain with a jump pack if needed. Actually, yes, they are. ;) Mine is only geared towards normal marines. Yours deals with models of various sizes and shapes. I wish I had the time to create video and knew what I was doing. Shortsonfire79
My second vid was geared twards doing magnets. Actual usage, on a normal marine. The first vid was of what you could use them on.
