blood_raven_240
Okay, so I was reading through the Australian Deathwatch Kill Team Rules PDF, and noticed that for 5pts, you can upgrade any member of a Tactical Squad to be a "Deathwatch Veteran. Their statline does not change, but they can then use the Deathwatch Special Ammunition. So, I could have: Tactical Squad (6) 3 Deathwatch Veterans 3 Space Marines Razorback Dedicated Transport > Twin Linked Assault Cannons <_< Is this correct? And does it still apply under 5th Edition and the New Codex: SM? Edit: Also, as an afterthought, is this a good idea? Would it work? (I mean in general, not the squad listed above)... Mal
You can do that.... providing your opponent agrees to let you use the rules in that PDF, unfortunately they count as houserules. If you check, once you have paid for the Deathwatch Veteran upgrade you then have to buy the specialist ammo for a further 5 points each. Not that cheap, and you don't get the free meltabombs, but it does add flavour. As Mal says though, the ruleset is no longer official (hence why I decided to make DW using C:SM), so you will need your opponent's permission.
