Dourine
Now, i have a Tzeentch/Khorne army, and my friend has the makings of his own daemon army. He horribly lost to me, due to all my shooting. He asked for a few pointers, and here is the list i made up for him. I'd like your guys' comments on the army, if you think it's poor, good, even tournament worthy. HQ Keeper of Secrets, Transfixing Gaze 210 Keeper of Secrets, Transfixing Gaze 210 Elites Beast of Nurgle 35 Beast of Nurgle 35 Troops 20 Daemonettes 280 20 Daemonettes 280 20 Daemonettes 280 10 Plaguebearers, icon 175 10 Plaguebearers, icon 175 Heavy Soul Grinder, Phlegm 160 Soul Grinder, Phlegm 160 2000 points exact. First wave, Plaguebearers, Plaguebearers, Daemonettes, Beast, Beast, KoS Second Half - Daemonettes, daemonettes, KoS, Soul Grinder, Soul Grinder The first wave is basically there to get shot at, and with the longevity of nurgle stuff, be there to take the heat of daemonettes later, even if you roll a 1 or 2, you still got the KoS and two soul grinders coming down first to keep the shooting off your daemonettes, which are the real killers of the list. Obviously tanks is a weakness of this list, but 2 MC's, 2 walkers, and rending is what will be used to take tanks out. This list does have a definite advantage to hoarde armies, which is what my khorne/tzeentch army has trouble with, and it will take out MEQ armies rather well too. The only armies i see destroying this army most battles is Raider Heavy Dark Eldar, Imp. Guard (especially with their new codex release), and flamer heavy rhino rushing sisters...i mention them because i have that army also. ==Me==
Kippers could use Musk instead of Gaze, the added mobility works wonders. Beasts are easy KPs. They = fail. Daemonettes = fail, but at least you've got big units to keep them from dying and they might even cause some wounds. I'd look to put some Fiends in there. 2 unit of 6 wound help considerably, and it's only at the cost of 20 Daemonettes and the Beasts. Drop a few 'nettes here and there to afford Musk and you should be set. Drop all the heavy stuff together to overload your opponent's responses, same goes for the light stuff. Toss an icon in each wave and you should be set. Keepers, Grinders, and Fiends can all take down tanks.
