I havn't been painting for about 10 years (Wife->Kids and so on), but finally I got some time on my hands again. When I try the colors you descriped, my marine looked nothing like yours :lol: So just to clarify things. Is this the correct method? 1: Black undercoat 2: Base color DA green Highlighting: 3: Catachan green/ DA green (1:1) 4: Catachan green 5: Catachan/white Or should I use the DA/catachan in step 3 as a basecoat leaving the pure DA as lining? Jeebus Posted March 6, 2009 Share Posted March 6, 2009 Excellent work! I agree with everything that everyone has already said (I know, its a cop-out, but meh, I'm lazy today). But seriously, they look great. I will say that the bases do seem a little empty on a few of them. Are they just painted grey with some gubbins on them? Or is there a surface on top of the base? One thing that might help the city-look and make the bases look more complete would be if you used some thin textured plasticard to put on the base, like tiles, etc. just a thought, but otherwise they're fantastic!
