winterdyne
A nice new fine detail brush! The trick with lenses is to keep the dark area fairly large and the white dot pure. Slightly less saturated colours are good too. I tend to avoid using pure black in the dark areas. Again, I use my usual trick of applying the lightest highlight in a coarse line first, and blending back to the darker shade. The red is scab red -> blood red -> dwarf flesh. The blue is regal blue-> ultramarine blue -> ultramarine blue/white. The orange is dark flesh -> blazing orange -> sunburst yellow. winterdyne
Update with the banner design for critique. I wanted to keep the style of the DA preprinted banners, but have an original subject that ties in with the 4th Company and some sort of 'heavy weapon' concept. I decided on a long spear: http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/dreadnoughtbanner.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158077-wip-da-dreadnought/page/2/#findComment-1918104 Share on other sites
