Mark Logue Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 These are some of my converted marines. I got carried away with my space wolves army, converting most models quite heavilly. This is the start of a second space wolves army themed around Navigator House Belsarius with a detachment of the Wolfblade (using the rules for a deathwatch kill team). It seems a fair few other people have done the side jump pose I used. My favorite conversion was the guy leaning on a wall he is shooting around. I had to make the hand out of greenstuff. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/ThreeWolfblades.jpg This is the whole squad before I started painting them, I must have done some more converting after that shot as I ripped the melta gun head off and replaced it with a helmet and did some repositioning of feet to suit the poses (had to carve them out and make them out of greenstuff for a few models). I have also noticed I chopped one of the guys hair off to give him a mo-hawk. I use it as an objective marker and as a Damocles in friendly games - it didn't make much sense for an entirely deep-striking company to have a tank sitting on the ground beforehand. The head is actually from the FW Thousand sons dread and the arm/staff is an ogre banner pole arm with the Tzeetch symbol on top. This is great, it feels nurglesque, looks nurglesque, and it works! It's not just another bog-standard defiler painted to look nurglesque, it's a true-looking Nurgle Defiler, big and bulky just like Nurgle would want it to be!
