XKhalilX
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Skyrar%27s_Dark_Wolves doesnt say much but they favor close combat and found in fenris sector. I guess its GW way of making bad space wolves? it says they are a warband, how big can warbands be? Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
these are more lies of the dark angels... a warband can be as big as you'd like...it all depends on the ability of the leader of the warband. a poor leader would have a small following, a charismatic leader could pull followers from all walks of life. i actually think they are space wolves, but labled as traitors by a stupid imperium. thats the only way a warband like this could exist so close to fenris without the Wolves completely destroying them. wolf lord kieran Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851609 Share on other sites
Vash113
Just look at the 13th Company, they could easily be mistaken for Chaos forces but well... aren't. *shrug* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851624 Share on other sites
XKhalilX
kieran lol, you and your Dark Angels jabs lol  yeah I thought it was lame on GW's part to put renegade or Chaos space wolves within the Fenris sector, as if the Space Wolves wouldnt know or care. "sure you can still visit the Fang, just dont let the High Lords know okay?" HAHAHAHA. but there armor scheme I love, like the dark charcoal almost black look, I think I am going to do a lil color mixing and come up with something :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851636 Share on other sites
Ullr Direfang
the only thing i could think of would be the wolf brothers....*Glares at XKhalilX* but they look a lot like fallen to me.... no not really just playing up the fact that a DA guy brought it up. if they are supposed to be wolves, not chaos...just... more "free" thinking/unorthodox space wolves....wait we can be MORE unorthodox.... Combat_Vet
I would say it was attributed to a near sided inquisitor with an overactive imagination, a weakness for strong drink, and a need for job security!!! My second option would of course be a Dark Angel lie! (although I do love the paint scheme) Better days, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851669 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
I think that was someones entry for the B+C legio that GW found and decided looked cool. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851670 Share on other sites
XKhalilX
hey Ullr, I am no Dark Angels player haha. i don't even play WH40k, just paint haha. Beef
That New fluff plus the one aboit the sw turning traiter and joing huron just plain annoyed me. Why GW did you do it, But its true if chaos/traiter Sw existed so close to Fenris there would be a great hunt to bring them to justice, Unless GW is trying to make them the SW equivilent of the DA's Fallen Or they are not really traiters but just another warband gone solo. Or just more DA lies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851788 Share on other sites
MaveriK
Wolves in nature are territorial, I can't see the Great Wolf Logan Grimnar simply ignore these warbands run around Fenris Sector. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
thats what breaks this for me...that logan grimnar would allow traitor space wolves to be in the same system as fenris. in a game of mutants, orks, space marines and sorcery, THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. wolf lord kieran Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158211-skyrars-dark-wolves/#findComment-1851803 Share on other sites
The Nephilim
I'd like to point out that it says first sighted, not that these guys stuck around and drank beer with the Space Wolves and had a frolicking good time.
