When the codex first came out I was debating between Night Lords, Thousand Sons or my own DIY Tzeentch Renegade warband. I wen with the DIY Renegades thinking the new codex would really allow me to do them justice. Turns out the whole Icon system didn't work, I was paying for things I didn't need and to have what I felt was a competent army I had to compromise my army's background. I loved the look of Chaos though and really wanted to play them so I went back to the drawing board. Thousand Sons as many know is all but impossible to create now so I went with the Night Lords in the end. I'm really enjoying the army. I love the paint scheme and I can use the units I enjoy and still have a workable army. It could be so much more because there is little way to factor in the terror tactics but I still love the army.

I was gonna collect World Eaters, but now I collect a DIY renegade legion.

Don't have a name yet, though.

 

Also, is it different with each language, or are people just wording it wrong?

Because last time I checked, it was KILL! MAIM! BURN!, not BURN! KILL! MAIM!

Got to be Iron Warriors of the 5th Grand Company ;)

 

Though I have(ed) Black Legion, Death Guards, Khorne Bezerker, Fallen Angels.

 

Iron Warriors are my main force since 2004 (though start my force in 2001) for the UKGT :)

DIY faction,the Lords of Anarchy.A detachment from my DIY sm chapter the Night Crusaders,they use chaos to destroy chaos and the imperium(which they see as evil) to save humanity.They have followers from each god,which are organized into sects,with each sect being a mini warband(with a leader for each).

DIY warband, The Lost Company of Kadath. Background and such, forthcoming... one day when I get to it. Mostly it was an excuse to field an army with a color scheme I liked with the ability to field whatever units I chose and not have to worry about the "fluffiness" of it, since it's a DIY list. Luckily, the group I play with isn't really all hung up on that sort of thing anyhow, unlike the last place I used to play.
