DaemonFae9
Mkay. it's not perfect, but I shopped a friend of mine as a sister of battle. things I am not happy with: -hair needs reflected light from fire. -tubes are yuck, should have made them ribbed. -shoulderpads look too thin. Oh well, I'll just have to keep trying. http://fc64.deviantart.com/fs41/f/2009/026/1/9/Sister_Rebecca_by_shadowmageix.jpg UPDATE! ok so I renamed the thread so I can dump other artwork in here. I'm still working on an actual space marine, but in the mean time to tide you over, I give you... A techpriest. Yes I know he's not wearing power armor, but but HE MAKES IT. so there. http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs40/f/2009/032/9/0/Adeptus_Mechanicus_by_shadowmageix.jpg Hopefully I will get the model photos i requested for my marine soon -.- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158686-daemonfae9s-artwork-thread/ Share on other sites
IamJacksUserName
Very nice. Just a quick note, though. The shoulders should be wider for a head that big. You might want to shrink the head or embiggen the armor. cathar the great
Looks good for a start. Your self-observation was quite right: The tubes should be ribbed and the shoulders are not broad enough. Sisters do have a more feminine frame than Astartes but not that thin. Dark Disciple
The face looks really good, well done! If you broaden the shoulder out a bit you'll have a very sweet peice of art on your hands. DaemonFae9
I will be attempting a full marine next. A friend of mine has the perfect spacewolves face. So here's hoping he supplies me with a good stock photo of his head swiftly so I can begin! On that note, if you're reading this and you like spacewolves, feel free to post your favorite spacewolves art and minis in here for me to use as inspiration! My thanks in advance brethren!
