Apocalypse question

Wolf Guard Hengist

Just a quick one that I cant make my mind up on, I've got an Apoc game coming up with 3k a side and was wondering if our Retinues rule still applied? I'm thinking that it does still apply but I'm not sure to be honest.

Also has any of the brethren had any experience with an Ancients Assault Force?

At the end you have nearly no restrictions in Apocalypse. I´m playing with 30 WG. Who cares, that´s Apocalypse. As long as the unit itself is legal it´s ok. But you´re no longer restricted to 20 WG at all. Only the size for a retinue 4-9 still apply and the rules for the weapon options (how many heavy weapons and so on)

Yes, the Ancients Assault Force is one of my favorits. I have two, one for my SW and one for my Grey Knights. For my SW i´ll run a Iron Priest and 7 dreads and for the GK my "Tech Knight" and 4 dreads. It´s always a nice surprise when your dreads hit your enemy´s superheavy in the rear. And the Flank March counts for your whole army. They´re not squadroned so when they appear on the table they can target each a different target. With some luck, a lot of dead tanks.

No Force Org in Apoc, so you don't have to. I would say that if you have 2 or so Ven Dreads, a Wolf World, couple of WGBL's and a Priest of each flavour you should be fine and fluffy and still come pretty close to the rules. In fact, that lot would do for up to 5K pts of Wolves. Then add allies until you're up to the limit - nothing say's fun time like a Warhound or two and a few -Blade variants!
There are no restrictions in Apocalypse except for unit entries. Codex limitations or specifications on the number of allowed units goes out the window... Run them and tell us the tale of 3k Wolf HQ's over a haunch of nice red meat and a bottomless keg of Fenris' best (wait, come to think of it, ALL of Fenris' IS THE BEST).
