Wink
Without paint, I didn't really like it to be honest, but now that it's painted, it looks a world better. The cloak has amazing depth, the yellow is great (even though I don't usually like yellow), the blue is a perfect pastel colour, and the pose looks suitably real. I have no critisisms, which is rare for me. Great job so far. Boo
He looks great. I love the helmet on him. Really good gs work. And the yellow on his robe is beautiful. Could you share how you painted that? ^_^ Can't wait untill he's finished. :) //Boo Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158745-um-librarian/#findComment-1866598 Share on other sites
scruff
The yellow is pretty straightforward, and starts with the area being given a couple of thin coats of snakebite leather which covers the black undercoat better. The orange is made by mixing red gore with golden yellow until you get a shade you like and then painting in thin coats with an ever increasing amount of yellow as you work towards the raised edges. Have managed to do a bit more painting tonight so the next pics will most likely be up in the hall of honour fairly soon.
