Sisters of Battle Modified Design

Recommended Posts

As I have said before; these are not female marines. Though their armour pattern is very similar to astartes armour.

Also I think Black Templars are the model chapter because they are the only chapter that has stayed true to the original purpose of the Space Marines as set by the Emperor himself; Crusading across the Galaxy.

Also more WIP on her torso. And before you say, yes, I know the power plant green work is really rough. I need to fix that as it was a bit of a rushed job.

The Chaos Marine Head? Well I hollowed out a skull and a helmet with an Electrical Tool and then damaged them up to represent damage, such as holes in the helmet and the great gaping hole in both the skull and the helmet from where the marine was taken down by a shot to the head.

As for the gauge wire, I picked a thick wire simply because I wanted to bulk the armour, but without making the waist itself too big as this would end up making the model just look like a scout with a backpack and a dress. So going for cabling which is obviously separate from the waist itself works well for the job.

EPIC THREAD NECROMANCY

I need to paint the base so I can glue the legs on and continue work, but I do not know what Chaos Chapter or Legion I should paint the helmet and tank armour as. Any suggestions? Note that she will be in the Black Templar colour scheme. And I want contrast between the Sister and the base.

You're probably going to hate me for this, but can I suggest taking a look at an anime called "Fate: Stay Night"? one of the characters is a female knight, and her armor looks great for an armored female torso.

Basically, you'd need to take the eagle off the chestplate and do a little reshaping, to hint that there's breasts under the armor, without sculpting H-cups onto the armor. what it looks like is a pair of creases like an upside-down T, and the horizontal line is curved. Hrm... I gotta build a girl to show what I mean. I'll post it when I get a chance.

I have heard of Fate: Stay Night. I keep updated on the manga.

As for the armour suggestion; Newsflash: This is power armour on a Battle Sister, not a character from a anime/manga/game series. I will not let my work end up like a direct copy from any media source. And do be honest with you, there is no need for me to hint that there are breasts under the armour simply because there is no benefit to the armour in me doing so.

I have managed to find the original art work this whole concept is based off.

Rouge Trader Battle sisters. Now they had proper power armour in their artwork. Though I thought the headdress was a little silly, so I replaced it with the robe dress idea.

Just a quickie - about that waist. There are pictures from around the time you seem to be using as a base for your model's imagery of women. Usually in big dresses, and with tiny waists. Those are actually true AFAIK - for 50-100 yrs or so it was the 'in' thing for women to have a waist as small as her neck, so in comparison your models a bit paunchy, if anything :P . Admittedly I believe it was soon after that fashion that neck ruffs came in (backlash maybe?).

But damn nice nontheless. Get the lady properly clothed (painted) and get pictures up to inspire the world...

I agree with the waist segment a little, but the thing is, she is still in power armor.

Your body could look like swiss cheese and nobody could tell if your wearing power armor. It should look big and bulky, whether that is the style or not. Also even though she is all ornate and stuff with her crazy inquisition stuffs, she is a warrior, built for combat. Not exactly looking 100% victorian era replica.

keep it workin, looks good
