Dahli Llama
I have been reading about various Chaos chapters, and I really like the idea of the Red Corsairs, but I also want to run Noise Marines and Berzerkers in my army. I couldn't find anything to say that the Corsairs would or wouldn't include cult marines. Would this be very unfluffy, or not? Magnus Thane
Yes but with moderation. Marines that fell to Nurgle so to speak might have become Plague Marines Slaaneshi dedicated ones with a sensory addiction -> Noise Marines Berserkers same as usual. Theoretically all could end up in there. Plus strays from other warbands could also join up with the Corsairs. Berserkers in a way seem more likely and they do fit the idea of those involved in the fiercest boarding actions. Consider mixing the zerkers with some Space Wolf bits. Would be quite fluffy and interesting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158816-red-corsairs-and-cult-troups/#findComment-1860198 Share on other sites
minigun762
Plus strays from other warbands could also join up with the Corsairs. I think this is the key really. Both World Eaters and Emperor's Children are totally fractured and broken down into little groups. It would be easy to justify your larger Red Corsair's force adding them in, either peacefully or with force. Remember alot of the times you could justify things by having your boss go beat up their boss and make their guys your guys (its like Orks but in Power Armor). :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158816-red-corsairs-and-cult-troups/#findComment-1860365 Share on other sites
TheDarkApostle
There are several mentionings of at least Berzerkers being included in Huron's personnel. Captain Tezdal
Thousand sons would also be fluffy...sorc. allying with Huron for some extra muscle, of the more intelligent variety Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158816-red-corsairs-and-cult-troups/#findComment-1860549 Share on other sites

TDA Not only that, there's mention of an Ultramarines Berzerker in one story. Brother Asmodius
There is mention of a section of Huron's ship dedicated to the followers of Khorne from the short story Into the Maelstrom and so I see no reason why there might not be other sections for followers of the other Gods of Chaos. But like Magus Thane said, you probably should keep their numbers low. I use Berzerkers in my Red Corsairs force but they are my only cult unit and I keep the unit size to 8 (for fluffiness mainly). I see nothing against cult troops but I wouldn't make them half your army.
