Iron Hands Venerable Dreadnought

Here it is so far! I havent really worked on it recently, as it mainly needs GS to fill in all that horrible GK iconography and purity seals.

The goal is for it to be smooth with armour plates, as my Iron hands go minimum on scrolls, purity seals, and other tacky awards.

Pretty much I had to use some blue-tac to keep it together for some of the pictures, as I havent decided if i'm going to use magnets to keep the torso to the legs, or pin it together.

Also, the pictures came out reversed (thanks cameriod.com)... the DCCW is on the right side and ASS cannon on the left.

I'll most likely do some GS work on my day off tomorrow so I can work on my commander at the same time (and not have to worry about preparing too much GS at once)!

He looks great! The asscannon looks really brutal, great idea with the drum.

I noticed the AoBR dreadnought had his melta on the wrong side, haha, couldn't figure out how you did that!

Well, good work so far, now I'll wait with anticipation on him being painted up.

I was hoping for going away from the typical boxy-looking dreadnought, especially when it comes to the weapons.

I think the DCCW arm so far is a far more sleek looking, but looks solid and has more mobility (and necessary range) than the classic DCCW's. One thing I didnt like about the standard DCCW was the way it looks like it cant reach anywhere, and thus would have to swing it's whole upper torso to land a hit on anything not directly standing in front of the weapon.
