Techmarines, Thunderfire Cannon & Servitors

As stated in the Codex, a squad of servitors can accompany any Master of the Forge or Techmarine. This being said, can a Techmarine/Thunderfire Cannon have a squad of servitors attached to it? Also, if I were to deploy the Techmarine in a drop pod (with the rest of the company) how can the Servitors deploy? In the codex they have no transport options available and the drop pod can only carry the Techmarine & cannon.

 

If there is something written in the codex, can someone point me to the correct page. I have read it form cover to cover but didn't see anything to that effect. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

The techie with the Thunderfire is not an independent character so no he can't join a unit servitors as such. He is just the Thunderfire's gunner as it were. However once the Thunderfire has been destroyed, he reverts back to a normal techmarine with IC status (p73) – then he could join a unit of servitors.

the servitor unit allowed for each techmarine / MotF need not be deployed with nor attached to the "owning" or any other techmarine, though it is a good idea due to mindlock. if you take a servitor squad with the thunderfire cannon, that squad acts independently of the gunner (techmarine) in all respoects unless and until the gun is destroyed and then Isiah's post takes over with regard to the IC status of the gunner techmarine. for any other techmarine type, the servitors MAY be deployed with or without the adept mechanicus.
