march10k
I know there's a sister hospitaler in the $45 hererticus retinue box...but I'm not keen on paying $90 for a pair of them (and virtually nothing else in the box appeals to me)...and I've been to ebay and a few bitz websites, with nothing to show. Actually, there was an ebay auction for two pro-painted models, one of which was the one I need...but it's exremely well-painted, and I'd hate to pay $9 for the guy's work and strip one model while discarding the other. Anyone know where I can get a couple of them? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159000-sisters-hospitaler/ Share on other sites
Mosk
I would say ebay, keep looking. Personally I would convert. Convert em man, its betta. Go look into the mordhiem sister of sigmar and convert, use eldar or dark eldar, use any other female models. And use green stuff. I would recommend not getting the GW green stuff. I would get like force nine, or the green stuff from greenstuffit.com or just google search epoxy modling puddy. Get it as cheap as you can. Apogee
Keep checking ebay, they pop up now and then. If you're only using them for fluff that's fine, but it's barely worth using them in real games anymore :(. Stupid 6+ save doesn't jive with 5th ed very well. Inquisitor Fox
I have to respectfully disagree with Apogee... I've found two Sisters Hospitaller invaluable in 5th ed games. The trick is picking where you allocate your wounds. My Sage and Familiar in my retinue are expendable bullet shields. The Sage exists to solely give my Inquisitor +1BS, and the Familiar to give +1 Init, and a 2nd psychic power. Neither has to live for those benefits to be maintained. This now leaves me with 2 Chiurgeons, 2 Acolytes, 2 Crusaders and a Combat Servitor (plus the Inquisitor Lord and my Land Raider). The Crusaders, Combat Servitor and Acolytes all have 4+ saves, with the Crusaders having a 4+ invuln. The Chiurgeons allow me to ignore a single insta-death wound allocated to my Inquisitor. Combining those effects means most shots I can manage to avoid for multiple turns of taking fire. I'm a big, big fan of my Chiurgeons. As for where to find them... I finished getting the pieces for my retinue before the Bitz nerf :( Now your best bet is Ebay or anywhere that might split up the individual pewter figures from boxed sets. Artein
You may byu two boxes, take those 2 models and sell it on ebay. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159000-sisters-hospitaler/#findComment-1863382 Share on other sites
Sister Rosette Soulknyt
I have to agree having two Hospitalars in with your Inquisitor is a must. Allocating those hits and ignoring a Instant Death result is just what you need to maintain there points and usefullness. Btw i have a spare that i dont use Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159000-sisters-hospitaler/#findComment-1863603 Share on other sites
