Bran Scalphunter Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Alrighty then, I was talking with a friend of mine who plays Raven Guard and he is adamant that you can choose not to use Chapter Tactics if you use a character that grants it. In his case, he uses Shrike but he wants to be able to Combat Tactics his Marines instead of Fleeting. I'm 100% sure that he can't choose to not use CT, but he's not listening to me. Can anyone back me up with my theory of no selective Chapter Tactics? He's not a member of the B&C but he does occasionally lurk here, so he might find this thread. Cheers in advance. Souchan Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Lucky for you the new 5th FAQ(which has many useless questions but some good ones) mentions how SC's never get to use Combat Tactics and that they only have it to gain the rules of Chapter Tactics. Oh never mind, I see, it's under Khan's question. Thanks for pointing me to it there Souchan! I'll print it out and show it to him next time I see him. nighthawks Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Chapter Tactics rules ALL state that you replace combat tactics with.... or "must" choose which chapter tactic to use if you have 2 special ICs. they present no option to choose to keep chapter tactics. if he wants to do that, he should play with the ultramarines characters, each of which KEEPS combat tactics.
