One day I decided to make pure Death Guard army, and I´m not a big fan of GW PM models, so I converted normal Chaos Space marines...here are some pics..

i say you have a fantastic imagination and they are really very good for your first DG.

as for the paint. i think you need to pick out the armour trim to break up the models colour and give the armour some washes.

washes are so so easy and take no time at all. just by washing them black ni the corners and then brown and green all over you will be amazed at the change. if you insist on drybrushing (hell i cant blame you painting these things takes ages!) then experiment with drybrushing then using a wash over it to blend the highlight colour back into the model. you wont get that chalky stark look this way.

my only other tip is rust! rust takes a matter of 1 min per model to do and makes everything look better :D. use the solar orange (if thats the right name) in the foundation paint set. stipple it on there and your way!

good luck, keep that imagination fired up and enjoy them!

Those conversions are fantastic. However the painting needs some work. One of the brilliant things about Nurgle is that the models are easy to paint up to tabletop standard in no time at all. The key is to remember that 1) Washes are your friend 2) There is a huge variety of diseases so they're not all going to be the same colour. So go look at the Gw Wash range and start slapping it all over them. Brown would be a good start on all of them, it would shade the metal and the armour well. Black could also work on the metal, but I think brown would be better. Then on some bits of them add purple, red, green or yellow washes. Paint the diseased tissue areas in more fleshy colours but use washes to give them a sickly pale colour with a purple or green tinge. Pick out the skulls aswell, a drybrush of bleached bone followed by a wash of brown or even green would do that nicely. Remember variety is important! And remember to do the details.

So, as you said I try to give them some washes...

first things first.

this tank is look way....way cool.

that said i think there is one thing you could do to improve the look. in the pic above you have placed the typhus exhaust vents on the side of the tank. these are usually used to replace the tanks exhausts, rather than as an added feature. if it was me i would move them to the back of the tank and replace the tanks exhausts with them.

but thats the ONLY thing i would suggest.

great work sir
