deaglesuk
After finishing up my 14 Plague Marines (see my WIP thread, link in Sig) I decided to treat myself to painting up my Demon Prince and here is the results. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll109/deaglesuk/Demon%20Prince/100_1753.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll109/deaglesuk/Demon%20Prince/100_1754.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll109/deaglesuk/Demon%20Prince/100_1755.jpg I'm a lot more happy with the way the paint job came out than I am with the quality of the pics I took of him, really must buy myself a decent camera 1 of these days Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159100-nurgle-demon-prince/ Share on other sites
Vash113
From what I can see the painting looks pretty darn good, especially for a first job on an HQ like that. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159100-nurgle-demon-prince/#findComment-1864381 Share on other sites
Captain Malachi
That, my friend, is impressive, the brown tones on the armour look very natural, and the purple skin tone works, which is odd imo for a Nurgle model. Drudge Dreadnought
Very nice work. The wings are a little small, but given how much of a pain it is transporting ones with larger wings i don't think anybody will mind. Danny Cyanide
If those are possessed wings, then I have the same ones on my Nurgle DP! I think Stubby wings look good for Nurgle, in a underdeveloped kind of way. Nice job dude! deaglesuk
Thanks for the kind words guys. The purple skin is to tie him in with my Plague Marines who have Zombie heads painted in the same way (Bleached Bone with a couple of purple washes) a little weird for Nurgle I know but it seems to work ok. The Wings are small for that very reason, I looked at bigger wings but wondered how I'd transport him. They are indeed Possessed wings cut in half and GSed on. I kinda like the look too :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159100-nurgle-demon-prince/#findComment-1865034 Share on other sites

KJB
Looks good! 1 thing though, where did you take the pictures? Silent Hill? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159100-nurgle-demon-prince/#findComment-1865201 Share on other sites
Wink
Looks very nice, one of my favourite versions of that model I've seen in a while. The only thing I might change is that I would paint the rims on the power armour silver or gold, for some contrast on the armour. Is it just me or in the last pic does the sword look transparent? deaglesuk
Heh yeah the pictures are bad, they do look a little "foggy" don't they? They were taken in my kitchen under a strip light using a cheep camera. As I get more into this hobby I'll buy a decent camera for taking pics. The sword does look transparent in that last pic lol. I wish it was, how cool would that be? ;-) It's actually Boltgun Metal with a couple of coats of blue wash over it I was considering doing the rims a different colour. Decided to leave him the same colours as my PMs in the end. Glad you all like him  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159100-nurgle-demon-prince/#findComment-1867180 Share on other sites
