Ullr Direfang
well fellow brothers it been a wonderful week on my part (note sarcasm)! 1) broke up with girlfriend... long story doesn't fit here so that is that. 2) car dies... $5000 big ones later, it still doesn't work. but same as above. 3)i get my debit card number stolen... just think, but same as above. 4) and to top my week off, when getting all my stuff out of my car so it can rust as some shop; i slip, while only carrying most of my space wolf army (only thing i didn't have was my painting challenge stuff), and of course here in maine we have feet of snow and ice right now, watched helplessly as my models were thrown all around the parking lot, many broke( mostly repairable), but some little bits are gone for ever or to broke to fix. i don't know being stuck in my dorm, for a few days with all that has happened, just make me want to cleanse those (primarily the guy who stole my card info.) heretics from the earth, with frost blades and bolter fire.... i am not a happy wolf (grombrindal) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159198-times-in-life/ Share on other sites

1000 Yard Stair
Congratulations brother! You have been chosen to be tested. How you weather the dark times defines a man (or woman). Impossible to see now of course, with the wounds so fresh and likely still bleeding, but all this will pass. Stay strong and don't do anything stupid. You'll be fine brother. Be of good cheer. You have been given the opportunity to start fresh. The spirits of women and machines are tricky things to consider. Luckily there are others. As for mr douchebag who took your card number, I'll gladly come stand in the snow with you and drag his face through the parking lot till we've recovered every last broken mini bit. Be well and walk easy brother. Better days await. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159198-times-in-life/#findComment-1866215 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Id say take a couple of days and throw yourself into something you enjoy. Take your mind off of the problems, and then after two days, three at most, come back to earth and deal with it. ^_^ happens. Sometimes it really bad :). But life goes on. Youve seemed like a pretty cool guy from your talks here on the forum, so please keep going alright? Its nice to have someone with a decent IQ to talk to. Speaking of throwing myself. Im up way past my bed time. Its almost noon after a graveyard... so Im going to bed. I hope to see some more posts from you when I get back here tommorrow. Later Ullr. WG Vrox
I agree 1000 yard; as hard as it is to hear and useless as it sounds at this moment, the tests put upon you here and now molds the mettle of the man you will be. Some break and turn to drinking or drugs while others come out hard as nails. I found me peace in the pumping of iron, it provided me an outlet for all my frustrations with the side affect of looking and feeling good. But was all find our path out of the darkness in one way or another and so will you. WG Vrox. If your a Christian send me a message and I will be glad to offer some spiritual advise as well. Grey Mage
Its nice to have someone with a decent IQ to talk to. Are you implying somthing Grey Mage (craks knuckles and reaches for thunder hammer) Yes... that despite living in a college town about 4/5 people I talk to have either the common sense of a gopher or the education of a fourth grade who has no enthusiasm. Online it varies wildly. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159198-times-in-life/#findComment-1867566 Share on other sites
Ullr Direfang
well, i must say that over the last few days i have done much. i checked here every now and then but not too long. i kinda curled up in my dorm room, and mostly stayed by my self. i turned to painting when i was bored, now all i need is a camera, so i can post my painting challenge models. not too mention that my dwarfs are done, my imperial guard only have tanks and things i don't own left, and my bretonnians and most of what i fixed for my wolves are primed... i got bored a lot. @ everyone: thanks for all the support. @ greymage: i understand what you mean about a lot of college people. most of them, would still be here if natural selection was law. most intelligent conversation i get tends to come from here. and in a few of my classes, with "mixed age" students. Vassakov
Just to continue the off topic discussion, a Google of "War within, war without" with quotations turned up an OOP book about correspondence in WWII, a feminists podcasts, 5 gaming sites of varying descriptions, an Ordo Mallues =][= on MySpace (arguably the most random thing I've heard today) and finally an essay on the fall of the Roman Empire. Without quoties, the top hit was the use of Rwandan Women in the current war, which is far less fun and slightly bizarre. Still, I'd say BL sueing you is relatively unlikely. Skrubb
I hope I will never have a week like that. That it all adds up might not only be bad, though. It makes it impossible not to see the humour in it. And things can only get better. Go out, meet people and laugh of it. On my own part, this week is one of the better. Handed in my master's thesis yesterday. Will start working in a week. So this week, I finally have time for my grey hunters! Preparing and painting miniatures is a wonderful thing to do in good times as in bad. And if you need to put your mind off things, borrow some audio books in the library! Hfran Morkai
Why did none of you guys add the final part of the quote? "War within, war without, war unending." I reckon it sound much better in three parts. I feel sorry for you brother. I shall send you several casks of my home brewed ale. Just stay strong and look forward to the day when your company of wolves return to their former glory fom the geneseed of those lost. If you want I shall lend my assistance in tracking down that <_< that stole your details. I have a keen nose for that sort of thing. (This makes my week look brilliant. I was only told that my army was useless and the new crusader I bought is worthless in my current army. I am also a student and with the economic downturn and no job I have hardly any money for new models.)
