so here's my command squad, in the process of being changed over to my color scheme. still alot to do on them. working between 3 or 4 different units so i dont feel like im being monotonous. yes, that's 4 power weapons including the captain in the squad. 2 axes, 2 swords. plus, the captain's hiding a plasma pistol under his cape. sneaky bastard. :) with their razorback and its options, they're 400 pts total.

Looking good so far, what's the ideal army list going to be?

well atm, i have 3 tac squads, one's an AoBR kit, so flamer/missile on them. another will be plasma gun/cannon, and sgt with plasma pistole and chainsword. and the 3rd squad im not sure yet. maybe melta/melta or melta/lascannon to save on point cost. then there's a full assault squad with 2 plasma pistols, 5 man devastators who will hold a varying choice made from my remaining 2 heavy bolters, 1(or 2) lascannons depending on how my 3rd tac squad goes, my multi-melta, another missile launcher, and a sgt holding a bolter and his chainsword. i also have 2 dreads i did up, plus a lascannon razorback for my command squad, who all but the flag guy and the apothecary are all using a power weapon, with the captain also holding a plasma pistol.

and im going to be picking up a predator later this week. most likely magnetizing it so i can have it be both the destructor and annihilator varients til i decide if i wanna buy a 2nd one to have one of each on the field. i'm also thinking of building a land raider....maybe an ares pattern. and a assault terminator squad to run around and harass my enemy while im shooting him up.

havent decided yet what my core list will be yet since its my first army and im slowly building up with kits i think look cool, since im having fun painting them right now.

nice! it's not often you see white models, everythings normallly all dark and macarbe! it makes a nice change

thanks, i kinda like the white of white scars, but its also just too much white, even with the red accents. plus i didnt like the khan styling. but i thought mentors looked pretty neat, and decided to do a similar paint scheme. i used Krylon for plastics spray paint for my primer coat, using the satin white for that shade of white. it looks really great so long as i dont rub the paint off while im painting everything else on afterwards.
