My WIP heresy era terminator

Greets,

I've really enjoyed building this guy. However, the arms are killing me. Anyone have any hints on how to make true scale arms?

I gave up on the thunder hammer. I need a lot more practice with GS before I do that kind of detail. he will be armed with a power mace and a storm bolter.

Better days,

Looks good so far.

Arms aren't that much different to legs. Get some plastic tube of an apropriate diameter and cut two sections (fore-arm and upper-arm). Build up an elbow piece out of GS or use termi elbows, then attach the termi hands to the end. Use a bit of GS to add some details to the arms if desired, much in the same way you've done with the legs.

Al

First, consider where his neck is in proportion to where his shoulders must be. You'll need to lower the shoulders and create bulkier pads on his terminator suit, think uber-gothic. Also, if you are assuming that this truescale model is more proportionate to humans and less proportionate to a standard space marine figure, you should remember that his hands should extend half way down his upper thigh when held at his sides to be homo-sapien compatible. :)

Greets,

Today, while working on my Rune Priest, I thought I'd have another go at my pre-heresy terminator.

I couldn't get the thunder hammer to look right, so I decided to try a MC power weapon.

Any thoughts on what to do to to make it better? Does the weapon work with the mini? And is it wolfy enough?

Better days,

Pretty darn good, I'd suggest turning the Power Mace slightly to the guy's right and angled down so it looks more at rest, right now the pose looks a little awkward and the weapons get in the way of the sight of his torso and that detail work.

I like the mace, especially on a WGBL. Germano-nordic warriors used some giant mauls back in the day. It wasnt a common weapon, but oh gods was it an effective one.

I agree with the mace moving a little to the veiwers right. Do you want him to have a stormbolter? I always go with a combiweapon personally but.... *shrugs*.

Nice work.

Looks great so far, but all I can say is PLEASE make the arms longer, think about where you can reach down your leg, because he looks like he couldn't reach his belly-button :P

Aside from that I'd say one of the best true-scaled marines, termi or otherwise, that I've seen yet. Well done!

i realy like the model, but i think the arms let it down a little bit, they need to be a tad longer realy,

the mace is good, but as otehrs say needs a little bit of reagustment on its angle, slightly down and to the right so that it shows more of his chest and looks more at ease.
