Games workshop sucks!

Ok so recently I bought 2 GH boxes and 1 BC box to add to my AoBR box set.

Well, considering my older brother likes the game(But doesn't have an army of his own) and has a job he went and bought me a Chaos Space marine box(For the bitz) and because he got a credit card gift card thingy he bought 30 ragnar shoulder pads and another box of blood claws online.

He got the shoulder pads and puppies in the mail but 2 days later was informed that the order was lost in the mail and a new one will be sent shortly.

Anyone have such good luck? :D

I had have such luck with FW. I ordered some parts. Five weeks later nothing arrived i contact them. They apologized and told me that a replacment sending will go out tomorrow. One and a half week later i got the replacement sending. Another 3 day later the original package arrived. :D

I only had luck with FW

Orderd SW Raider doors, but one bone was damaged, so i call and theys say there sorry and wil sent a new one ASAP, 5 days later i get a box, open it and........Rino doors :)

So i call, Sorry for the mix up, we'll sent the new doors ASAP, so i ask what to do with the rino doors, he says, stick them on a rino :(

So now i bought a pred so i can put the front panel on and i have 2 sets of raider SW upgrades ^_^

The thing about GW and FW is their customer service is outstanding. In the world of moulds there's going to be miscasts and errors all the time, and it likely means you'll get more than what the original damaged part was. I've had people get whole baneblades just because of a miscast gun barrel... so they build both and make their own frikkin' gun barrel.

I have yet to ask for stuff because even though I've had miscasts I always fix it and leave it be (rhino tracks are notorious for being miscast and they usually send you that sprue but you never know), so I just fixed it with green stuff because the next day was a tournament... so I almost always fix my stuff right away because I buy bulk before a tournament to get my army ready, no time to call in for stuff.

I was tempted with my 7th box of bloodletters though... there were like 3 swords that were miscast, some arms, and in general it was a mess... but I only needed 4 out of this box (64 total) for my one game so it was ok, and the box is now hidden in the mass of sprues somewhere.

Anyways, now with my rambling over, it's just a great business to deal with on customer service.

i have had stuff like this happen too. i bought a grudge thrower, ogre box, and i bought the twinlink autocannon from forgeworld. the grude thrower was missing part, and i called and they sent me a new one(back in the day when one could bit order... so i just ordered the missing parts and got two), one of the ogre bodies was badly cast, and got a whole new box, and part of the autocannon barrel was missing and got a new one.

i find my self saying "i can't believe the prices", but when something goes wrong, the freebies start flying.

Well the plastic and metal isn't where the majority of the cost comes from, it's not even the machines... it's the moulds... these can cost a LOT of money, and the artists' work as well takes time and more money, the repair and keeping the moulds to perfect shape and whatnot is what costs a lot. Otherwise what's a few plastic pellets and a few seconds in the machine?... Granted DEMAG machines can be huge and cost a LOT, but the majority take up a small amount of space for the applications GW uses... they're not making car bumpers afterall.
