Hi i'm new here, but not to the hobby nor the Wolves of Russ. I've been playing for almost 20 years so yeah. any woof, i'm new and i'm going to post an idea for some fluff for my army. tell me what ya think. and have a great day. now where's the ale... :P

The Lost Company of Gunnar Redsun to be exact. The basic idea is that some time during M37 the company was dispatched to deal with an Ork WAAAGH! headed by a mysterious Warboss who had an odd affinity for fire, and was accompanied by a weirdboy who was able to transform those around him. Well after making planet fall, and fighting a few skirmishes they encountered a small group of Thousand Sons. Fearing the worst, they redoubled their efforts, and very quickly the planet was consumed in a massive war between the Space Wolves, Orks, and their Thousand Son masters, under the leadership of a daemon prince named Imhotep. A year and half into the war, the Thousand Sons fled after suffering several staggering defeats. Seeing the true threat leave, the Space Wolves began to pull back in pursuit, while the Orks tried to regroup. After finally pulling back into space, the Orks, realizing they were alone, boarded their ships, and a massive space battle ensued. Fearing what the Space Wolves would do, Imhotep pleaded with his master to save them, and Tzeentch did, in a fashion. A huge warp storm appeared, and the entire system was ravaged, save for the thousand sons, ork, and space wolf craft, which were all thrown into the warp and lost. Fast forwarding to the present, during the events of Medusa 5, a small space wolf fleet appeared as the warp storm took the world. Inside were the Great Company of Gunnar Redsun, presumed to be lost by their brothers, having had barely aged a day. Upon returning to Fenris, they were tested for taint, and welcomed as heroes, though they stayed at home only breifly, just long enough to rearm, repair, and reequip, before heading back out, Gunnar swearing he would claim the head of Imhotep, and the Ork dubbed Aiden by his men for what happened to them.

Welcome to the Fang, may your battles be great and many. Ales' over in the corner next to the roast boar, help yourself, there's plenty and to spare. Just remember to fetch us Long Fangs some of the good stuff while you're at it- no reason to make us keeping running around is there?

(ale to the person that notices the part I borrowed from The Hobbit.)

Why are you apologizing in your subject line, by the way? :)

I suspect he's apologizing because he's done yet another "Hi I'm a new player" post. Clearly the Wolf Priests are getting soft on the whelps.

*Dodges Crozius hurled by irate Priest*

Alternatively (and far more likely) he, along with many others knows in their heart that the Son's of Russ are the right army for them. And contain 60% more awesome than any other Power Armoured force (excepting the Blood Angels, who are of course, pure awesome.)

Welcome to the Fang!

EDIT: 1,000 posts. Crikey, I feel all old now...

::wakes up from 6 month hangover::

Welcome, young whelp. May you reap honor, riches and ale....just share the ale

Hey! OID's still alive! I call a feast in his honor! More ale, more boar, more Wolves!

Good to see you're back from your campaigns OID, the Rulez Pack meetings were getting a little boring without you being there. *rolls keg of Fenrisian ale to OID* Now to the feast halls!
