Imperator Mos
Not sure what your theme is... all of my marines are on urban/deck plate bases. little blurry, but you get the idea Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159510-scenic-bases/#findComment-1870457 Share on other sites

Alys Dwr
Ok dokey, i'll take some pictures of mine and post them when i get home tonight. I use grit-sand, mangled sprue and whatever bits i can to get an urban rubble approach. Painted using mixtures of black, graveyard earth, codex grey and white with various washes etc. I tend to make it up as i go along so that they are all individual but very similar at the same time. Watch out for the edit... Al Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159510-scenic-bases/#findComment-1870911 Share on other sites

TeamLando
I did a new paintjob of an old, only sprayed, version of good old Njal Stormcaller about a year ago. I wanted him to look poerful and like a priest of the wolves, so I put him on some mountainedge and worked the base with a lot of snow and ice and stuff. http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/925/njalstormcallerrn1.jpg And then 5th edition comes around and ruins everything xD But I still like how he turned out. metcalfedan
Just a few of my desert bases, these models were based after the models were painted. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/metcalfedan/IMG_0483.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/metcalfedan/IMG_0488.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/metcalfedan/IMG_0490.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/metcalfedan/IMG_0492.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/metcalfedan/IMG_0486.jpg All i did was base the bases with modelling sand from the hobby starter set (the old one mind) and did a very heavy wash of Gryphonne Sephia. Then just painted round the base with Regal Blue. Easy! :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159510-scenic-bases/#findComment-1873533 Share on other sites

Exanimo
I'm not that trained with bases yet but still trying to confince myself that a marine on a base with pebbles looks good :) So i tried the tutorial on this page and i must say i worked out nicely. (went for more brownish tiles myself) http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9068/base1mo2.jpg http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1589/base1bsz7.jpg Seems i spilled a drop of blue when i was painting my Rhino btw :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159510-scenic-bases/#findComment-1874743 Share on other sites
