Scenic bases

Peakey

Recommended Posts

Ok dokey, i'll take some pictures of mine and post them when i get home tonight. I use grit-sand, mangled sprue and whatever bits i can to get an urban rubble approach. Painted using mixtures of black, graveyard earth, codex grey and white with various washes etc. I tend to make it up as i go along so that they are all individual but very similar at the same time.

Watch out for the edit...

I did a new paintjob of an old, only sprayed, version of good old Njal Stormcaller about a year ago. I wanted him to look poerful and like a priest of the wolves, so I put him on some mountainedge and worked the base with a lot of snow and ice and stuff.

And then 5th edition comes around and ruins everything xD

But I still like how he turned out.

Just a few of my desert bases, these models were based after the models were painted.

All i did was base the bases with modelling sand from the hobby starter set (the old one mind) and did a very heavy wash of Gryphonne Sephia. Then just painted round the base with Regal Blue.

Easy! :(

I'm not that trained with bases yet but still trying to confince myself that a marine on a base with pebbles looks good :)

So i tried the tutorial on this page and i must say i worked out nicely. (went for more brownish tiles myself)
