Twin .44
haven't seen this in a while. very well done sir. If it weren't for my upcoming battle company, I'd be right along side you with my own GK LR, but it wouldn't look as awesome. asmodai650
I would go ahead and use the shield on the front left of the raider. Just put the heraldry markings on it. To me it would be very fluffy. You could even say it was out of respect for its previous crew or something. Ekkanus
Wow. This is one amazing project. I'm not a huge fan of completely metallic colour models or marines, but I do like the background for the GK's - and this LR is absolutely fantastic - amazing job mate, looking forward to seeing the completely finished article - i'm glad i'm not the only person that paints the inside of his vechicles! bodde
Weekend over and the linked Heavy Bolter finished. Next up on the table is the multimelta. And after that finaly I can start with the side spoons. I can start to see the end. I have the hurrican bolters in metal. Do you think I should get on in plastic instead? http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKLR40.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159530-grey-knight-army/page/2/#findComment-1975682 Share on other sites

Skyzerker
You've done some very nice work there! Metalics aren't very easy to do over large surfaces, but you've made it look easy. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this absolute beast finished! :D I have the hurrican bolters in metal. Do you think I should get on in plastic instead? That's a good question. I've heard that the metal hurricane bolters can be a real pain to assemble, but I personally have always prefered working with metal componnents over plastics. The metal holds detail far better. I think the metal ones would look far better for your project, but that's if you feel like dealing with the headache! Messanger of Death
This beast looks stunning. The little shield would help break up the silver on that panel actually. As for name it is hard to think of something...any particular sort of names you like for tanks? Examples include veritas which is Latin for truth, while luminarium is Latin for light. There are other names you could go with such as hope, death, vengeance or revenge. Could name it something like Emperor's Might which in Latin is Imperator Vires and in Italian is Imperatore Potrei. Could also go with a name like Holy Light which in Latin is sanctus lux lucis or could be sanctus luminarium. Don't just have to use Latin or Italian, could use any other language you fancy or even mix up languages. Cheers, Messanger Edit - something else you might like is Luminarium Emunari which in Latin roughly means Light to Cleanse. Or Vindico Incendia which in Latin means Delivering Fire. Thank you for the nice input regarding the name, my favourite of your examples is Luminarium Emanari. All my GK figures have individual names from Roma Legionares. So something in Latin is nice. Yesterday I made some highlighting of the Lasercannons for the spoons and glued the spoons together. And also tried mounting them. Puhh it worked, only two to go now. Will most likely finish the las spoons this week and put a picture here of the first finished combination. Until next time....
