To Silber.

This is my painting recepie for my metal:

Black basecoat

Boltgun

Black ink water down 3-5 times

Blue ink water down 2-4 times

Boltgun thined

Chainmail thined

Mithril thined

Mithril thined

For the bronze/gold.

Bronze 2-4 layers

Black or brown ink water down as above

Bronze thined 2 layers

Gold thined 2 layers

I think the trick is to use thined colors, but be careful to thine them to much beacuse then the color separets a bit. Hope you try this and good luck.

I am Out of "office" this weekend so there will not be any picture update

OK Fellows, two out of three finished.

Today the redeemer spoons passed the finish line. Great.

Time to start with the third combination the crusader spoons.

Hi again,

Offcause you all want to see how the progres is on the spoons. The crowd goes YES. OK

Have hade a couple of small painting sesions and so far the the ammoboxes, ammofeeds and bolters are ready for glueing. After the glueing there is some chainmail and mithril left. The shields has just been started on but this guys are quick ones. Since some of you already pointed out that the mounting of the ammofeeds and bolters are tricky. I will wait for a calm day. Anny suggestions that increases the chance of succes?

Enough writing here is the update

Until next time: take care of your hobby

Hi again,

I just want to show you alla that the bolters and ammofeeds are in position. I was a bit worried about the fitting, but it seemed to work out fine.

Now I can focus on finishing this part by highlighting and details.

Ok, now I am even closer to the goalline.

Some ink first and getting those purity seals and the sculs finished, then only the two things that are attached on top are left.

Todays update

After panting this fellow I think that a small emptiness will occure. With the question and now what?

Time for the end of weekend update.

Only the two top things left, need one more evening for those.

Spoons tried on the Land Raider. Guess what? They fit perfect.

Close very close now. Three things left:

  1. Finishing the spoons.
  2. Painting the heraldy shield the will be attached to the lefthand side of the hull
  3. Name

So if you have any more name suggestions please post them in this post before next weekend, saturday will be my end of a to long painting session of a GK Landraider.

Please take care of your hobby this week. I will...

i have been lurking around this for a while just watching, but i have to speak up now... drill the bolters! or at least little black dots of death!. everything else is sweet, and soooo shiney :P

as for names, hows aboot bastard latin? eg Purgus (purr-jess), Incintus (Inn-sin-tuss)? ferrus schtorm (sp?) (fair-rus shh-torm) loosely meaning, and i mean loosely "metal storm"?
