Ceres
Ahoij! I've been working on my color scheme, and decided to do something similar to the Revilers colors scheme, which is mainly composed of a very bright grey. Hence why I'm looking for a tutorial on how to paint a very bright grey, what washes should I use with it and how to highlight it, and also, what color should I use in addition to it? (red for cape ect.) Furthermore, if you have models that you have painted grey, such as space wolves and what not, please do add an image so that I may seek inspiration from them. Thanks, Ceres Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159652-faq-painting-grey/ Share on other sites
csblackhawk
Start of with a Chaos Black basecoat Adeptus battlegrey leaving black in the recesses then layer on Astromician Grey Thats how I would go about it Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159652-faq-painting-grey/#findComment-1880040 Share on other sites
Bigger-than-Jesus
Base codex grey, then fortress grey and astro grey, the astro grey/skull white. Mix codex grey and chaos black 75:25 then water it down heavily and paint it into the recesses. It should work well enough. Ra1stl1n
Well i'm trying to paint my Wolves as "bright" as i can without losing the gray feel in them...not really any kind of success but what i do is prime chaos black, then a layer of fortress grey or two then i highlight with ghostly grey and then a really extreme highlight over some points with skull white. Also if i think i've lost the depth in some recess some carefully applied badab black (or i guess watered down chaos black for that matter) fix the problem.Maybe i'll learn to pay some day but those were my 2c Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159652-faq-painting-grey/#findComment-1887240 Share on other sites
