Okay, here goes nothing! :Troops: I wanted an Ironclad but never tried vehicle converting before, so let's see about this....

Warlord Feet and Leg plates, metal Dread Legs and arms, 2 x Gazhgkull Thraka power klaws, Deathwind launcher from a Pod, Heavy Flamer from an Immolator, plasticard, GS, metal bits, chaos smoke launcher, Ravenwing searchlight, Mk IV engine block and some seriously crossed fingers.

Completed arms save GS'ing - the smoke launcher arm is going to be the Seismic Hammer - on the assumption that if this clangs into your hull, you're going to know about it.

Legs and feet done.

Sarcophagus ready; the plates are from a Landspeeder - last minute idea. The square gap is where the HF will go.

Let me know what you think?

That was a very clever use of the LS grav plates. I never would have thought of that. I'm really looking forward to seeing the arms on him.

BTW, what color(s) is he going to be?

Keep up the good work, this looks to be a very interesting project.

Cheers,

Very cool loking dread in the works, excellent choice of bits, i really like what you've begun here. Only suggestion so far is about the "seat belt thingy" from the drop pod you've put on the sarcophagus. I like it, but i think it would look better if you cut another one apart and made the bars running up on either side mirror the other. Just a small suggestion.
And this is your first vehicle conversion.

Okay, I'll rephrase - first one I'm happy with. Plus the idea has been in my head for nigh-on 10 years, so it's had plenty of time to germanate. Just been waiting this long for GW to give us a proper unit for him!

The assault launcher arm functions as the seismic hammer - on the understanding that if it slams into a tank hull, the crew are going to know all about it!

Sooooo awesome. How long did it take you to do?

About 3 days to build and then another 2 to get all the fiddly bits done like the gap filling and so on. Helps that I'm unemployed - I have lots of time to spare! ;)

Marshal; they're not totally the Warlord legs - just Warlord plates onto metal dreadnought legs. The full legs would have given me something thin and spindly like a Juggernaught dread - I decided squat and powerful was the way to go.
