Honda
Here's a quick update on the Storm. As you can see, he's been basecoated and I have applied the forbidden obscuration technique that begins with the letter "C", but which shall remain unnamed because...I can. I like "C". It's my favorite color. These guys (Black Eagle team) are a special unit. They're in my army. I like "C" and I'm proud of it. It doesn't mean my guys are weak, just smart. B) I've also added "Rich, Corinthian" leather in the appropriate places, as well as applied a fair amount of ink washes and the new washes. I really like the effect of applying Devlan Mud on top of Asurmen Blue over Boltgun Metal to accomplish a heat/oxidation look on metal. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d187/hkowabunga/Apocalypse%20Lords/Landspeeders/091909034.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d187/hkowabunga/Apocalypse%20Lords/Landspeeders/091909035.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d187/hkowabunga/Apocalypse%20Lords/Landspeeders/091909039.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d187/hkowabunga/Apocalypse%20Lords/Landspeeders/091909042.jpg Next up will be some detailing on the inside, but I don't want to make it too bright because after all, this whole exercise is to produce a low observable assassin unit. The square patches on the vertical stabilizers will eventually contain the "Black Eagle" badge that is also worn by the men in this unit. So, I'm hoping to have the vehicle done by this week and have started on the troopers as well. Since this will most likely be a one of a kind unit in my army, I decided to invest a bit of time on the base and detail that up a bit. From a gaming perspective, I can use an existing base from one of my other Landspeeders until I get it finished. C&C greatly appreciated!
