scruff
Ok here goes, model number 2 of my conversions from the master of the chapter boxed set a librarian. http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o322/scruffbc/DSCF1543.jpg http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o322/scruffbc/DSCF1541.jpg http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o322/scruffbc/DSCF1540.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159957-um-librarian/ Share on other sites
Race Bannon
Very nice! :tu: Relaxed, but willing to beat down. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159957-um-librarian/#findComment-1876387 Share on other sites
I AM THE AWESOME
Top notch painting there :tu: The conversion is very well done, but maybe it's just me... Maximus armor doesn't work with Smurfs. But all in all, excellent! Tyrannicide
I really like your models, scruff. I especially like your attention to details; the cream colored yellow cloak and axe are nicely done. The coolest part of this model is the helmet, it's a unique take since most Space Marine Librarian models are helmet-less and have the same overdone, basic psychic hood setup. Starbuck_
How did you do the hood mate? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159957-um-librarian/#findComment-1877904 Share on other sites
Barraka
Looks great, I really like the MkIV helmet on a librarian, makes him look extra hardcore. Nice paint job too. Is the Crux Terminatus pale gold or silver? Usi Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159957-um-librarian/#findComment-1877943 Share on other sites
scruff
How did you do the hood mate? It's all green stuff, built up the basic shape over a couple of days allowing the greenstuff to dry in between and making good use of a needle file to smooth things off. I worked without the helmet in place to make the sculpting easier. Once I had the shape I sculpted on the wings to the outside and left to set before adding the trim. When I was happy with that I glued the helmet in place and added greenstuff to sculpt the wires connecting the top of the helmet to the inside of the hood. You can see it before painting on the WIP thread I did. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=158745 And Usiel the crux is silver, boltgun metal with a mithril silver highlight. wiplash
sorry if this has been asked and answered all ready but what head is the head based upon? i know the nose is sculpted but is it from just a standard marine head or a special one (e.g. beaky/crusader etc) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159957-um-librarian/#findComment-1881705 Share on other sites
scruff
It's a standard head, just use a knife to smooth off the front so it's flat instead of coming forward past the grille and sculpt from there so you have a guide for the basic shape.
