white radish
If Sicarius confers Scout abilities on a Tactical squad, does that mean a Scout-y Tactical Squad can hop in a LS Storm? How broad or narrow is the definition of "Scouts" when it comes to the LS Storm entry? What defines a "Scout"? Is it the rule or the armor? Is a "Scout Sergeant" = "Scout"? How about Sergeant Telion? Is a Tactical Marine with the "Scout" ability = "Scouts"? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159992-sicarius-scouts-ls-storm/ Share on other sites
jubei124
The transport option for the LSS only alows you to carry scout squads not units that have the scout special rule. The scout special rule does not make a unit count as scouts. Steelmage99
The rules says; Transport: 5 models (Scouts only). Squads are not mentioned. ------------- The Land Speeder Storm is Open-topped. This might be due to the fact that it has doors to enter and exit. It also might be because the models onboard aren't all carrying power-armour (implying only Scout squads can be transported). The Cerberus Launcher mentiones Scout Squads and so does the fluff text. -------------- In the two places transported models are mentioned (page 75, Transport and page 141, Transport capacity) only the word "Scouts" are mentioned. This might mean Scout Squads. It might also mean units with the Scout special rule. From a RAW point of view, it isn't clear. From a fluff-standpoint it is. Choose your poison. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/159992-sicarius-scouts-ls-storm/#findComment-1876815 Share on other sites
elijahdprophet
I think when it says "Capacity Five Models (Scouts only)" it means only the Scout unit, as a Tac Squad with the Scouts rule is still a Tac Squad. Much like the "Special Ammo In Other Bolters" reasoning, 'Scouts' in the SM codex is a specific unit type with its own stat line.
