Daemon Hunters, Whitch Hunters and....

The militant arm of the Ordo Xenos is the Deathwatch chapter of marines. The members are drawn from many different chapters and only serve the Deathwatch when called upon. The rest of the time they work within their own chapter.

There were rules for them on the old website, nut I'm not sure if they're still floating around.

You can always just use a codex chapter and go heavy on the Sternguard, as they most accurately reflect the rules for Deathwatch.

The alien hunters are also known as the ordo xenos, and are one of the three main ordos of the inquisition, along with malleus and hereticus. The ordo xenos are charged with the protection of the imperium from the heretical influence of the alien. The deathwatch are their chamber militant and are made up of marines from many chapters as Cadarn rightly pointed out, they are often given special ammunition that works better on specific alien races or is better suited to squad level missions. The deathwatch are rarely sent in to a large scale battle, at least not as an army of deathwatch. A squad might be sent to aid a military force in battle, but more commonly they are used in information gathering and sabotage like missions.

That's pretty much the bare bone of it, there's a lot more info available, but I'm not going to go through it all in this one post. So if you have any more questions ask and I'll do my best to answer them.

Yep, they're mainly used as force recon to assassinate important alien leaders before they get too powerful, i.e. killing a warboss before he starts a waagh!, or capturing alien specimens for study ie capturing a lictor to create a virus that can destroy it's hive fleet or capturing a tau ethereal to try and figure out how they control the other tau.

They're the unsung heroes of the fight against xenos.

The best equivalent to deathwatch kill teams are sternguard.
