AdeptusTerminautus
using him as my Vulkan he'stan http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c203/Akaddius/PICT0044.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c203/Akaddius/PICT0051.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c203/Akaddius/PICT0050.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160134-first-salamander/ Share on other sites
ArchMagos15
I like it, the freehanded banner is pretty awesome and I like how you did the gold. You may have to do some highlighting on his armour, as I believe salamanders are a tad brighter. Otherwise, nice model especially for your first Salamander. By the way, I saw you on /tg/ too. AdeptusTerminautus
the thing with the brightness is the camera, i might do some drybrushing of scorpion to lighten it up a bit today though. the main thing is that i haven't painted power armour in months i was painting tanks, and then a month of nids(this is were i learned a lot of drybrushing) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160134-first-salamander/#findComment-1878758 Share on other sites
Rindaris
While I don't question the painting of the model. Its quite nice. I do have two questions. Since this is supposed to be a Vulkan. How do you represent his invul save, and how do you represent his nifty gauntlet? Evil-Termite
He looks pretty good. The back of the banner flames need a little extra work though I think. Go over them with another coat of blood red to make them more solid. Then thin some yellow and go over the red but not all the way to the edges. Do that several times but each time stay further and further from the edges. It will give you a nice blend. from yellow to red, and make the flames look a lot better. You have a good shape on those flames by the way. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160134-first-salamander/#findComment-1878833 Share on other sites

Corpse King
That's a really good paint job there. I agree about the flames needing more work, but otherwise you have done a decent job with that. <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/160134-first-salamander/#findComment-1888302 Share on other sites
