Wicks
Hey since everyone is talking about Landraiders , Can they hold 12 passengers like the normal Space Marines? Artangel
I have a land raider I use it as a doorstop somewhere in the house:). I personaly find them a huge waste of points due to the amount of fast delivery melta teams out there ie anything that can deepstrike, jump, infiltrate. I allways run a termie suicide squad 3 termies 1 heavy flamer 2 combi meltas= 105 points they have taken out shed loads of land raiders and vindis and if they die who cares I would exchange 105 points for 250 enemy points any day:). The only time I may consider useing one is to get a bunch of zerkers into play fast I certainly would not use them to transport terminators that would be a huge point sink. I'm allways baffled when people take a land raider over 3 Oblits that can put out more firepower, more staying power and can use cover to hide. I have a Marine army and would maybe consider a redemer raider but even then I know it will brew up on turn 1 or 2 as they normaly do. I think from a Chaos point of view the land raider is redundant but a loyalist Marine army with diffrent patterns of raider and Tech marines with 5 servitors that can keep it going it may just be worth it but even then I'm not sure I would bother. But to be fair, they're not taking the Land Raider for its shooting or even its durability, they're taking it for its assault ramp and the ability to get your slaughterhouse kill squad into close combat.
