Points

That is fair as RAW is clear on movement distances, though difficult in practice due to the natural inaccuracies of the method of measurement and paralax errors from the player's viewpoint (assuming not directly overhead). I assume you will bring an appropriate laser measuring device, if you wish to be so strict in your enforcement?

Not that I am saying I would deliberately try to move further but this is not an exact science. Points values are.

My position on this is essentially that you should assume you will be playing by RAW, unless agreed otherwise. In saying it is a points "limit" (as opposed to points guideline), RAW says you do not exceed it. Feel free to agree otherwise with your opponent, but remember that agreement is a two way thing and should not be taken for granted, especially when you are the one trying to bend the rules (not matter how small an amount).

Is it really that much to ask that you show up with a list already made that fits in with the points limit (either a previously agreed one or a common value for the club/group you are attending)?

Anyway, unless you have some RAW reason why points values are not binding, I think my work here is done.

eyescrossed and WarpSpawn that's enough of the childish horseplay.

Just aim for 1500 (or whatever the max points allowance) points unless agreed otherwise beforehand in friendlies. For tournies, up to max and not over unless you want to be punished in some way by the organisers.

This topic is closed. PM a mod if you have anything burning to say that might warrant its reopening, but I think it's all pretty much covered.
